Hello & Welcome
to God’s House on the Hill Serving Christ
On behalf of the members of the Tabernacle Church, I want to welcome you to our new web site. Some of you may notice that our name has been shortened, which was done to better reflect a more modern direction and future that lay ahead for our church. In some ways we haven’t changed and are still the same “God’s House on the Hill serving Christ” that our long time members have come to know, love and respect. But in many ways, we are changing and becoming more current by adding new ministries and new programs that the younger members of our community are requesting. This website is a work-in-progress towards that new direction – a reflection of some of the old that we cherish and a taste of some of the new things that are coming. There is plenty of information about our church, our ministries, our history, the new U.B. Kinsey Education and Community Center across the street, and the many activities that take place on a weekly basis at the church.
We invite you to join us for our weekly prayer and praise service, weekly Bible study, Church School or Sunday Worship Service. We believe that you will find our church to be a comfortable and caring environment in which to worship and praise God. We have a multitude of good people that call Tabernacle Church their home, and we invite and encourage you to do the same.
Peace and Blessings,
Working in Our Community
Putting Our Faith to Work
The initial construction phase has started on the $5.5 million U.B. Kinsey Educational & Community Center, a 12,000-square-foot multi-purpose building located at 801 W. Eighth Street in the Northwest community...
As you know, stopping water intrusion has been and continues to be a major challenge for our 95+ year old historic structure. We understand that there is never a "good time" to ask that you give more; however, we cannot continue to put off this necessary work "for a better time."
“Beautiful church where I can comfortably worship and praise God with my church family!”
“I was blessed today. Thank you. Keep doing what you’re doing.”
“Beautiful, beautiful church. Lovely kind people. My first time in church in years and I’m glad it was this one.”
