Help Preserve Our Historic Church Building

We Need Your Help

To Preserve Our Historic Church Building

As you know, stopping water intrusion has been and continues to be a major challenge for our 95+ year old historic structure. We recently completed installing a brand new roof which stopped water intrusion from the roof. However we continue to have water coming through the worn mortar securing the bricks. Once the mortar is worn away, there is nothing left to stop water from seeping between the bricks. We have embarked upon a proven process that will ensure water does not penetrate the walls. This process is very labor intensive and costly. The process was started on May 4, and is expected to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting. The bricks have not been re-pointed in the last 40 years.

We are keenly aware of the economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and understand that there is never a “good time” to ask that you give more; however, we cannot continue to put off this necessary work “for a better time.” We beg you to sacrificially increase your contributions, over and above your regular tithes and offerings, until this project is completed. We thank you sincerely for your help. For more information, please contact Ulysses Smith at (561) 236-9851, or any member of the Trustee Ministry.

The preservation of our beloved Tabernacle is calling for us to act now.
